Summer is the time of the beach, watermelon and gazpacho ... and sweltering heat causing thousands of people not to rest properly at night. An innovative in an air conditioning system for the bed could end these problems.
Until now, if you wanted to sleep at a comfortable temperature you would have connected the air conditioning overnight or place a noisy fan in the room to move some air. The first option is hardly considered compatible with the environment. The second is annoying and most people end up turning off the fan and cope with the sweltering heat . Climabed is a simple but effective idea: only climatise where you sleep.
A simple mattress cover filled with water attached to an air conditioner which allows heating or cooling of the bed is key to the invention. The cover contains a network of very fine silicon tubes through which water flows and regulates the temperature of the bed. By focusing the conditioning in such a small area great energy savings are achieved over other systems like air conditioning.
Its market price is 190 euros and can be used for cooling in summer and in winter for warming. Furthermore it does not require any installation and there is even the "possibility of having a therapeutic use," says the manufacturer.

Una simple funda de colchón rellena de agua unida a un climatizador que permite calentar o enfriar la cama es la clave del invento. La cubierta contiene una red de tubos de silicona muy finos por los que circula el agua y regula la temperatura de la cama. Al centrar la climatización en una zona tan pequeña y concreta permite ahorrar energía frente a otros sistemas como el aire acondicionado.
Su precio de comercialización es de 190 euros y se puede utilizar tanto en verano para enfriar la cama como en invierno para calentarla. Además no requiere de ningún tipo de instalación e incluso existe la “posibilidad de que tenga un uso terapéutico”, segun el fabricante.
